What a supplement is and why it matters
An insurance adjuster writes an initial estimate from photos or a quick inspection, often before the car is disassembled. Once we open the car, we frequently find additional damage. We write a supplement, submit it directly to the adjuster with supporting photos, and get it approved before ordering parts. You are never asked to pay the difference for covered damage.
Rental cars and total loss
If your policy includes rental coverage, we coordinate directly with Enterprise, Hertz, or your carrier's rental partner. If the repair cost approaches or exceeds your vehicle's actual cash value, the insurer may declare it a total loss. We can advise on whether the repair makes financial sense and help document the vehicle's condition for the settlement.
