    What we cover

Full-service auto glass, not just windshields

Most jobs are done same day. We stock common windshield sizes for the most popular makes and models in San Diego County, so you're not waiting on a parts order.

ADAS vehicles are a growing share of what we see. If your car has lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, or adaptive cruise control, we flag the calibration requirement before work starts — not after.

    We handle the claim

We contact your adjuster, submit documentation, and coordinate the repair authorization. You don't need to be in the middle of it.

    Your shop, your choice

California law prohibits your insurer from requiring a specific glass shop. You can choose us over Safelite or any other preferred vendor — no penalty.

    FAQ

    Common questions about windshield replacement

How long does a windshield replacement take?

Most windshield replacements are completed the same day. Drop the car off in the morning and it's usually ready by afternoon. The adhesive needs about an hour to cure before the car is drive-safe. Rock chip repairs are even faster — typically under an hour.

Does my insurance cover windshield replacement?

If you carry comprehensive coverage, your windshield replacement is almost always covered. Many California comprehensive policies include a $0 glass deductible, so you pay nothing out of pocket. We verify your coverage during the estimate and handle the claim directly with your insurer.

Should I get OEM glass or aftermarket glass?

OEM glass is made by the vehicle's manufacturer and is an exact match. OEM-quality aftermarket glass meets the same DOT safety standard and fits correctly — and is what most comprehensive insurance claims cover. If your car has ADAS cameras mounted at the windshield, OEM glass may be required for calibration accuracy. We'll tell you which is right for your car before we order anything.

What is ADAS recalibration and do I need it?

ADAS stands for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems — the cameras and sensors that power lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. These systems are often mounted near the windshield. When the windshield is replaced, the camera's position can shift slightly, which throws off calibration. If your car has any driver-assist features, recalibration is required after a windshield swap. We identify this upfront and include it on your estimate.

Can a chipped windshield be repaired, or does it need full replacement?

Chips smaller than a quarter and cracks under 6 inches can usually be repaired without replacing the glass. Repair is faster, cheaper, and often covered at $0 under comprehensive insurance. We assess the damage and give you an honest recommendation — repair when it's appropriate, replace when it's not.

Do I have to use Safelite or my insurer's preferred glass shop?

No. California Insurance Code §758.5 gives you the legal right to choose any licensed glass shop. Your insurer can suggest Safelite or another preferred vendor, but they cannot require you to use them. Choosing an independent shop like ours cannot delay or reduce your insurance payout.
