    FAQ

    Common questions about oil changes

How often should I change my oil?

It depends on the oil type and your vehicle. Conventional oil: every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. Full synthetic: every 7,500 to 10,000 miles, sometimes longer on newer vehicles. Check your owner's manual for the manufacturer's recommendation — and don't just go by the sticker the last shop put on your windshield.

Do I really need full synthetic oil?

Many modern vehicles require full synthetic — check your owner's manual. Even if it's not required, synthetic oil provides better protection at high temperatures, lasts longer between changes, and is generally worth the extra cost. We'll tell you what your car actually needs.

How long does an oil change take?

Usually 20 to 30 minutes. We also do a quick multi-point inspection while we're at it — checking fluid levels, tire pressure, air filters, and visible wear items — so you leave knowing if anything else needs attention.

What happens if I go too long without an oil change?

Old oil breaks down and loses its ability to lubricate. This causes increased wear on engine components, sludge buildup, and eventually serious engine damage. An oil change is the cheapest preventive maintenance you can do.

Do you use quality oil and filters?

Yes. We use name-brand oil and quality filters — not the cheapest parts available. If you have a specific oil brand or filter preference, let us know.

Do you work on all makes and models?

Yes. Domestic and import — cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans. We match the correct oil specification (viscosity grade, API rating) to your specific vehicle.
