    How it works

What to expect when you file a claim with us

    01

    Bring in your claim number

Stop by or call. We need your claim number and carrier name — that's it. You don't need to know the adjuster's name or have any paperwork sorted yet.

    02

    We write the estimate

Sam inspects the damage and writes a full line-item estimate: parts, labor, and paint. You get a copy. Your adjuster gets a copy. No vague lump sums.

    03

    We contact your adjuster

We call the insurance company, submit photos and documentation, and get repair authorization. You don't have to be the middleman.

    04

    Supplements if needed

Sometimes hidden damage turns up once we start the repair. We document it and file a supplement with your carrier directly. We don't call you and ask you to fight that battle.

    05

    Repair and quality check

Once your carrier approves, we order parts and schedule the repair. We do not start work without authorization — no surprise invoices.

    06

    Direct payment or reimbursement

Most carriers pay us directly. If your insurer issues you a check, you endorse it to us at pickup. Either way, your out-of-pocket is just your deductible.

    FAQ

    Common questions about insurance estimates

Do I have to use the shop my insurance recommends?

No. California Insurance Code §758.5 gives you the legal right to choose any licensed repair shop. Your insurer can suggest a shop, but they cannot require you to use one. Choosing an independent shop like ours cannot delay or reduce your payout.

How long does a written estimate take?

Most estimates take 30 minutes or less. If you drop by during business hours, Sam can usually look at it the same day. For major collision damage with frame work, it may take a bit longer to write accurately — we would rather take the time than miss something.

What do I need to bring for an insurance estimate?

Your claim number and the name of your insurance carrier. That's it. You don't need the adjuster's contact info, the police report, or anything else to get started. Bring those if you have them — they speed things up — but they're not required.

What if my insurance payout is lower than your estimate?

We negotiate with your adjuster directly. If the initial payment doesn't cover the full repair, we file a supplement with documentation. You are not responsible for the gap between what your insurer first offers and what the repair actually costs — that's our job to resolve.

Do I pay you directly or does insurance pay you?

Most carriers issue payment directly to us once the repair is authorized. Some send the check to you first — in that case, you endorse it to us at pickup. Either way, your out-of-pocket is limited to your deductible. We never ask you to pay more than your policy requires.

Can you handle windshield and glass claims too?

Yes. Comprehensive coverage typically covers auto glass with a $0 deductible in California. We verify your coverage, contact your carrier, and handle the claim from start to finish. You drop off the car; we do the paperwork.

Got a claim? We handle the hard part.

Free estimate. We call your adjuster. You pay your deductible. 628 Grand Ave, Spring Valley, CA 91977.
